The REPAIR Lectures & Theory Group will return in the new academic year

Thank you to everyone who joined our lectures and/or theory group meetings this academic year. We will be back after the summer break!

A taste of what’s to come:

The Repair Lectures will return in the autumn of 2026 with a very exciting instalment. Matthew Wingfield, environmental activism and hydropolitics expert and postdoctoral fellow at the University of the Western Cape/Stellenbosch University, will give a lecture titled ‘Towards socio-ecological repair and its futures: Metabolisms through colonialism, apartheid, and the climate crisis’. In this talk, Matthew will draw on ethnographic research from across South Africa and Namibia.
